It is with honour that we brought together key education stakeholders in Burundi to launch a strategic collaboration for an evidence-based education system. This initiative aims to promote South-South and North-South partnerships, strengthen teachers’ skills, improve and adapt curricula, and foster collaborative research to strengthen youth employability and entrepreneurship.

This meeting was a real source of collective inspiration, highlighting the importance of education and research as pillars of sustainable and inclusive development. In a world where the internationalization of education is becoming unavoidable, this initiative also marks a major step forward in academic diplomacy, with positive effects on several levels for our countries.

RECADEC East Africa would like to express its deep gratitude to CNES, the United Nations, KIYO, as well as the partner universities (UB, ULBu, Uni. Ngozi, Hope Africa, UPG, BCU, UGL and ULT) for their unwavering commitment to quality education, the basis for the socio-economic emergence of young people.

Together, let’s make education and research a powerful lever for transformation.
